WEEK1 MECHANISM

About acoustic guitar

A fundamental structure of a guitar can be divided roughly into four portions of a head part, a neck assembly, a bridge part, and a body part.
The part called the peg which twists a string is attached to the head part.
In order to stretch a string by turning a peg and to unite a pitch, it is also called a tuner machine and a machine head.
There is angle to the neck and a head changes the tension of a bowstring at the angle.
The part called a nut is attached between the head and the neck, and the role which fixes the position and height of a string is carried out.
The board with which a neck assembly is called a fingerboard is stretched, and the stick of a thin metal called a fret is embedded at the fingerboard.
A fret is a pause of sound.
A number goes up a fret from the head side toward the bridge side.
As the number increases, the sound becomes higher.
If the fret on one is pressed down, sound will go up only a semitone
For example, if "C" is pressed down and it moves on 1 fret, it will become "C#" and on 2 fret, it will become "D".
The position mark usually called the inlay of various forms to 3-5-7-9-12-15-17 fret is embedded at the fingerboard, and it has become an element important also as an ornament of the whole guitar.
The stick which controls the curvature of the neck called a truss rod is contained in the inside of a neck, and it can adjust the neck which curved by turning to right and left.
A body part is divided and called for three portions of top Said Buck.
At the top, the hole called a sound hole is vacant, and the pick guard is stuck so that a top board may not be shaved with a pick.
In order to control the resonance beyond the necessity for a body inside a body, reinforcement called bracing is stretched.
A bridge part has a bridge, a bridge saddle, and a bridge pin, puts a string into the hole vacant to the bridge, and stops a string for a bridge pin very in a hole.
A bridge saddle carries out the duty which considers adjustment of a pitch as the height of a string.
. The string is 1 string (E) 2 string (B) 3 string (G) 4 string (D) 5 string (A) 6 string (E) from the thinner one.
The above becomes a fundamental structure of an acoustic guitar.

About electric guitar

A "magnetic pickup" is used for many electric guitars.
The coil is wound around the magnet as a structure.
The phenomenon of "electromagnetic induction" is mentioned as a principle.
If a magnet is moved near a coil, current will occur in a coil.
Although magnetism is working in magnetic surrounding space, if the string of iron with the character which is tinged with magnetism there vibrates, current will flow into a coil in proportion to the motion.
This serves as an audio signal and plays a role like a microphone.
Since it is very weak as current, eventually this signal is amplified with amplifier, from a speaker, becomes sound and is outputted.
The above becomes a fundamental structure of an electric guitar.

  1. Which guitar`s mechanism do you like acoustic or electric?
Why do you know about this mechanism detailed?
    Who considered this mechanism?
Your blog is very easy to read because you use examples.
I want to watch the electric guitar`s figure, so how about do you show the electric guitar`s figure?
